چکیده
Ascochyta blight is a major biotic constraint of faba bean (Vicia L.) production and productivity worldwide caused by fabae. No studies have been performed in Algeria to identify A. fabae isolates or assess their pathogenicity, therefore information on local insufficient. Herein, 14 were obtained from samples identified based morphological traits phylogenetic analysis internal transcribed spacer sequences. All generated sequences deposited GenBank assigned accession numbers. Pathogenicity tests plants revealed that all produced necrotic lesions aerial parts with variable intensity, classifying them as weakly, moderately, highly aggressive. The vitro antifungal activity Bacillus Pseudomonas strains against showed siamensis B8 mojavensis B31 had the highest suppressive potential isolates. Moreover, negative correlation was found between aggressiveness susceptibility biocontrol strains. This first report identification, pathogenicity biological control Algeria. could be further developed promising agents for ascochyta bean.

Large-Scale Transcriptome Analysis in Faba Bean (Vicia faba L.) under Ascochyta fabae Infection
Faba bean is an important food crop worldwide. However, progress in faba bean genomics lags far behind that of model systems due to limited availability of genetic and genomic information. Using the Illumina platform the faba bean transcriptome from leaves of two lines (29H and Vf136) subjected to Ascochyta fabae infection have been characterized. De novo transcriptome assembly provided a total...
متن کاملCharacterization of Resistance Mechanisms in Faba Bean (Vicia faba) against Broomrape Species (Orobanche and Phelipanche spp.)
Faba bean (Vicia faba) production in Mediterranean and Near East agriculture is severely constrained by broomrape infection. The most widely distributed broomrape species affecting faba bean is Orobanche crenata, although O. foetida and Phelipanche aegyptiaca are of local importance. Only moderately resistant cultivars are available to farmers. Rizotrons studies allowed the dissection of resist...
متن کاملEnhancing faba bean (Vicia faba L.) genome resources
Grain legume improvement is currently impeded by a lack of genomic resources. The paucity of genome information for faba bean can be attributed to the intrinsic difficulties of assembling/annotating its giant (~13 Gb) genome. In order to address this challenge, RNA-sequencing analysis was performed on faba bean (cv. Wizard) leaves. Read alignment to the faba bean reference transcriptome identif...
متن کاملDevelopment and molecular characterization of 55 novel polymorphic cDNA-SSR markers in faba bean (Vicia faba L.) using 454 pyrosequencing.
Faba bean (Vicia faba L.) is a major food source and fodder legume, popularly known for its high content of seed-protein. Its role is critical in crop rotation, and for fixing nitrogen effectively. Polymorphic simple sequence repeat markers from transcript sequences (cDNA; simple sequence repeat [SSR]) were developed for faba bean (Vicia faba). We found that 1,729 SSR loci from 81,333 individua...
متن کاملStructure and function of seed storage proteins in faba bean (Vicia faba L.)
The protein subunit is the most important basic unit of protein, and its study can unravel the structure and function of seed storage proteins in faba bean. In this study, we identified six specific protein subunits in Faba bean (cv. Qinghai 13) combining liquid chromatography (LC), liquid chromatography-electronic spray ionization mass (LC-ESI-MS/MS) and bio-information technology. The results...
